Exceptional coastal views, dog-friendly environment, homemade food

The rooms need general maintenance. marks on the walls, scuffed blinds, and upkeep of the bathrooms left a lot to be desired!!! Cleaning protocols for common areas, particularly sticky tables and dirty floors, should be addressed!!!

Our stay was incredible. the best fish and chips ever and the breakfast was outstanding! The room was clean and had stunning views, but it needed some decor updates.

Had a fab time with my crew! The view from our room was stunning, and the staff was super helpful, showing us around, especially the entrance stuff. We had Sunday lunch at the bar, and honestly, the beef was spot on! Just wish the restaurant had more dessert options. Can't wait to come back for longer!

Comfortable room with good towels and bedding made for a pleasant stay. The hotel exudes a relaxed vibe, perfect for unwinding after a day of a local hospital visit, and the dog-friendly atmosphere added to the appeal, making it easy to let the pet roam.

The decor of some common areas seemed a bit tired and in need of updating, which was noticeable compared to more modern places. A few carpets could benefit from a thorough cleaning, and some rooms had minor maintenance issues, such as marks on the walls and slightly dated furnishings. The breakfast experience was mixed—while the food was generally tasty, we encountered a reservation mess that left us without a table despite open spaces being available. All this subtly detracted from an otherwise enjoyable time.

we had a great two night stay at the waterford arms! nicola was super friendly n welcoming. the breakfasts were just delish, not to mention our evening meal was also amazin. plus the room was big n comfy, perfect for us n our two big dogs. oh n they got sausages for breakfast, which they loved!

the shower could of been better n the ceiling had a few cobwebs. overall, a good stay but a bit of tidying up would help.

Fantastic staff and delicious food!

I had a lovely one-night stay at this cozy pub by the beach. The owners went out of their way to make me feel welcome, and the highlight was the seafood chowder—it was the best I've ever tasted! The room was basic but comfortable enough for my needs. One area for improvement would be the shower, which could use a bit more attention.

I had a great two-night stay at The Waterford. The room was spacious and cozy, perfect for my two big dogs. They even got sausages with breakfast, which made them so happy! The staff were super friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Breakfast choices were delicious, with a lot of variety to pick from. I especially enjoyed the evening meal—everything was tasty and freshly prepared. On the downside, the shower could have worked better. It had some issues that needed fixing. I also noticed a few cobwebs on the ceiling that could use a bit of tidying up. Housekeeping seemed to overlook some maintenance in the room, which was a minor letdown but didn’t ruin my overall experience.

great dining and easy park strolls just around the corner

i had a fantastic meal at the pub with the surf and turf being cooked perfectly. The staff were super friendly and made me feel right at home during my stay, which was perfect for my weekend strolls around the local parks and nearby attractions like Holywell Dene less than a 5-minute walk away.

This place suits me perfectly with free wi-fi in rooms, free parking, and a lovely bar/lounge area. I remember the staff kindly helped me return my shower bag I forgot. I highly recommend it! I'll be back for Easter.

The cozy rooms with their stunning sea views were simply breathtaking, perfect for watching the sunrise. The personalized service made us feel right at home, with the staff always ready to sprinkle in special touches, like treating our dog at breakfast. And oh, the freshly prepared seafood chowder? A must-try that I still dream about!
